The series of HDTV Workshops was initiated by Leonardo
in 1986 and continued for 13 years. Subsequently organised by an International Steering
Committee operating under Guidelines
for Steering Committee Activities, last updated in 1993. Leonardo
chaired the Steering Committee until 1994 when he left the committee.
